Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has always been in the headlines not only for her successful career and gorgeous looks but also for her tumultuous love life, notably with Salman Khan and later, Vivek Oberoi. Despite her separation from both actors, she found herself frequently confronted with reminders of her turbulent past. In a 2004 interview, the Devdas actress shut a journalist in style who asked about her “new sunshine” in her life. However, the interviewer pressed further, suggesting, "I believe that was a gift from Vivek Oberoi." Aishwarya, clearly irritated by the intrusive line of questioning, didn't hold back and responded with a touch of sarcasm. She replied, "Why don’t you just wait for an autobiography?" 


The interviewer didn't stop here and further asked Aishwarya about the reports that she doesn't not strike the right chord with the 'Khan-Daans', i.e. Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. However, the diva got irked by the question and replied, "You guys enjoy all this drama. So, I guess you can keep this going and keep yourself entertained." The rumours back then claimed that Aishwarya was replaced in roles opposite the Khan’s of Bollywood in films like Kal Ho Na Ho and Mangal Pandey. The interviewer showed no hesitation in broaching this sensitive topic but Ash handled it quite gracefully. Interestingly, the interviewer asking these obnoxious questions was even fired after that.
